The Therapies:
Thai massage
This is a wonderful combination of rhythmic acupressure and gently, but firmly applied yoga stretches covering the whole of the body.
The acupressure and massage stimulate the body’s energy flow, also known as chi, ki or prana, along sen or energy lines. This helps to remove energy blockages, which can be responsible for aches and pains and illness.
The assisted yoga stretches increase flexibility, reduce tension in the muscles and correct the right and left side imbalances in the body.
Thai massage is an ideal workout for anyone using the same sets of muscles every day, whether that is due to work, sport or a busy lifestyle. A Thai massage is a complete body treatment with many benefits, leaving you feeling nurtured and relaxed yet energised.
Reiki
Reiki is a gentle yet powerful Japanese form of hands-on energy healing created in Japan by Mikao Usui in the early 20th century.
The name, Reiki, can be translated as Universal (Rei) Life-force Energy ( Ki).
It is this subtle energy that runs through all of us and when the energy flow is blocked or disrupted then dis-ease or illness can manifest.
A Reiki treatment allows universal energy to flow into the body via the therapist, where it works not just on a physical level but also on a mental, emotional and spiritual level as well to restore balance and harmony. This allows the body, mind and spirit to begin a healing process.
